In Sing’s first class, I learned how to format my term 3 blog with covers. The process was quite complex and took a lot of time, but I persevered and was able to create the blog layout that I wanted.

I encountered some challenges along the way, such as figuring out how to use the different front-page settings and themes in the Myblog website. It took some trial and error, but I kept trying until I found the right combination of settings to achieve my desired result.

I also managed to plan out my initial layout and cover styles for my blog during the class. I have brainstormed about how to create and make my cover images. As required, I will try to make the blog as personal as possible. I aiming to create an atmosphere that closely related to my project theme and make the blog consistent with the vibe of my collection.

During Sing’s second class, we focused on learning SketchUp and exploring its features for creating symmetrical shapes. We also delved into the process of constructing a room and utilizing the built-in furniture options within the software. Given my prior experience studying architecture last year, I found this task easy.

As the class progressed, I further honed my skills in SketchUp and familiarized myself with its interface. I explored different tools and experimented with various features, deepening my understanding of the website.

Reflecting on the class, I acknowledge the importance of being prepared and brainstorming ideas beforehand. I realized that engaging in pre-class brainstorming sessions can enhance productivity and help approach projects with a clearer vision. By envisioning potential designs and concepts in advance, I can make the most out of the class time and achieve more satisfactory results. I recognise the value of pre-class brainstorming and am eager to develop my SketchUp skills to assist my design in the future.

During Sing’s third class, we delved into the world of creating CAD drawings on Illustrator. Having previously covered this topic in a previous term, I found the process to be familiar and not overly challenging. However, due to my choice of a slightly more complex piece, it required additional time and effort to complete.

Working with CAD drawings in Illustrator allowed me to apply the skills and techniques I had learned previously. I navigated through the software’s tools and features with relative ease, using them to construct accurate and detailed drawings. While the overall process was not overly difficult, but my chosen piece was more complex so it demanded more time and attention.
