Self Evaluation

Throughout the IISF course, I have gained valuable insights and experiences that have shaped my perspective on the creative process. Initially, I thought that the outcome of a project is more important than the process itself. However, this course has taught me the importance of create process and the value of experimentation. I have realized that the process and the act of exploring different approaches are necessary in fostering growth and development.
Throughtout the course, I have seen obvious improvements in various areas. My digital skills, drawing abilities, formatting techniques, creative thinking, and knowledge of fashion history have all imrpoved significantly. This progress has been a result of the course’s hard work and hands-on learning. I have thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with my fellow course mates, forming new friendships, and engaging in each other’s project and creative process. The supportive and encouraging atmosphere within the course has been benefitable in making a positive learning environment.
While reflecting on my experience in the course, I acknowledge that my project in Term 3 did not meet my personal expectations. I made an initial theme decision that ultimately proved to be borung, resulting in time constraints towards the end. This experience has shown the importance of careful theme selection and effective time management. To improve this, I plan to dedicate my summer to continuously improving my drawing skills, ensuring that I am better prepared for the challenges in October.
In conclusion, the IISF course has provided me with a wealth of knowledge and skills, transforming my understanding of the creative process. I have learned to value experimentation, embrace the journey, and appreciate the significance of collaboration and support. While acknowledging the areas where I can improve, I am optimistic about my growth and development as I continue to improve my skills and strive for excellence.
